Below is a selection of work highlighting my strengths in 2D FX animation and design, with a focus on timing, composition, and adherence to the desired show aesthetic.

1. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender
Responsible for 2D FX animation. Animation was done in ToonBoom Harmony, on a show where effects design called for a high level of detail. My focus was on aligning my work with the Airbending style already established on the show, while shaping the graphic forms and weight of the effects to match the character animation in the shot.
2. Ode to Playing Outside - Short Film
Responsible for all aspects. Ode to Playing Outside is a mini short I directed and created in 2026, using a variety of mixed media animations. For the bubble effect, I animated it in 2D using Procreate Dreams, then brought it into Houdini to give the bubbles a textured paintmap look, using a custom UV setup in order to have the textures 'stick' to the bubbles instead of sliding behind them.
3. Effects Animation Experiments
Responsible for all aspects. Various effects animation experiments in ToonBoom Harmony and Procreate Dreams.
Music is "I Lost All My Eggs" by Shawn Wasabi.
FX design work is a huge passion of mine. I'm uniquely positioned to be able to design an effect in 2D while also keeping in mind how the effect will be realized in 3D through CG pipeline tools, allowing me to keep the original intent of the design all the way through its execution.
Another passion of mine is stylized 3D effects animation. With my skills in both traditional 2D and 3D animation, I'm uniquely positioned to be able to design an effect in 2D while also keeping in mind how the effect will be realized in 3D through CG pipeline tools. This allows me to keep the original intent of the design all the way through its execution.
